LG Display is the largest manufacturer of displays.  The company mainly provides thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panels, but my investment thesis also concerns its lead in the shift to AMOLED displays. 2 years of LPL coverage I believe LG Display has technology leads in both large format screens, using its WOLED (aka WRGB) architecture, and flexible displays for mobile electronics.  However, LGD's legacy business has caused the company to transition more slowly than Samsung and competition outside Korea is mounting.

Consequently, this section is now public, as I see the LPL opportunity as played out after two years and a 60% gain.  Further updates on the AMOLED industry will revert to the private OLED and picks sections of the website.
