pre-macro news dump -4

Just a quick note to clear out the news queue before we hear from Trump on trade, Parliament on Brexit, and get tomorrow morning's jobs report...  All these events are likely to be spun positively in an attempt to mask the political battles that are being waged beneath the headlines.  Even so, I'm inclined toward caution which offsets the positive news that Vodafone has reached an job-cut agreement with unions in Italy.

eMagin just raised capital at terms that value shares below 50 cents, which is no surprise at all.  I'm not even going to bother doing the actual math, as they are still above that level despite dropping over 25%.  Next comes a reverse split and further attrition.

Both the U.K. and Italy need to get their acts together if CUI Global is to avoid the same fate.  Its CEO has joined the board of directors of Virtual Power Systems, its partner on the data center power side of the business.  Separating this from the gas side would probably be helpful to valuation, but not until at least one of the businesses starts getting paid for contracted & developed products.  Management's actions to avoid dilution have been very laudable, and this move likely facilitates further strategies to be implemented when and if that point comes.
