FIRE and other investing

FIRE stands for Financial Independence, Retire Early.  To accomplish such goals, most of us need to not only maximize our savings, but also invest in order to earn return that capital.  It should also be noted that retiring early will NOT wind up being a desirable goal for many individuals.  Some value security and routine more than freedom, which is just as valid a value set.  Thus, the first step for any investor should be to know yourself, and then set goals reasonably and accordingly.  That said, EVERYONE should invest in some way, because the inflation that comes with fiat currency makes cash a hidden tax, and starting to earn return earlier is ALWAYS better.
