LGD to pilot inkjet in early 2017 +2

The Korean press is reporting that LG Display will install a pilot inkjet line in the first half of 2017.  Those who have been reading me all along, know that I don't see the source as being particularly reliable, but this is the natural next step in transitioning AMOLED TVs from premium products to mass market.  It also probably has something to do with Merck planning to multiply its material production capacity.

Investors should note that we won't see any material results from this initiative for at least a couple of years.  Nonetheless, LGD is making headway with consumers even based on its current processes. I think LPL is a value after dropping almost 5% today, probably due to U.S. dollar strength, but whether or not better entry points will materialize before next year depends largely on the broader market.
