Another LCD dropout +1

It was already known that Toshiba planned to exit the U.S. television business, but now it seems it plans to dump any ability to manufacture LCD TVs at all.  The interesting part will be what it can get for the facilities.  Toshiba has far-reaching difficulties but the Japanese have pretty much recognized the coming shift to AMOLED televisions and have been exiting the LCD business across the board.  Japan intends to reinvent its display manufacturing with the government-backed J-OLED initiative, but this is one more step that should help ease competitive pressure on LG Display's legacy business in the meantime.
