Government support for LGD's AMOLED initiative +2

One of the reasons I've been constructive on LG Display even before the announcement of any partnership with another display manufacturer is that the company effectively already has a more important backer.  The chaebol essentially operate in partnership with the South Korean government, which voiced support for LGD's initiative this week.  The country's trade minister attended an anniversary celebration and said,
The Korean government will be active in providing more supportive measures to help the country maintain continued leadership in the global display industry even in OLEDs

South Korea has already identified the technology as a major export item and provides tax incentives to support its development.  It will be interesting to see what further measures are taken.
